Introduction
Jesus Christ is Our Passover
(1 Corinthians 5:7)
"Therefore purge out the old leaven, that you may be a new lump, since you truly are unleavened.
For indeed Christ, our Passover, was sacrificed for us."
Note: When using the Hebrew Calendar, you must remember that
the days begin and end at sunset.
(Genesis 1:5 NKJV) God called the light Day, and the darkness He called Night.
So the evening and the morning were the first day.
(Leviticus 23:32 NKJV) "It shall be to you a Sabbath of solemn rest, and you shall afflict your souls; on the ninth day of the month at evening, from
evening to evening, you shall celebrate your Sabbath."
Note: The High Day Sabbaths are God's seven annual Holy
Days
as listed in Leviticus 23 as Holy Convocations:
First Day of Unleavened Bread - Leviticus 23:6-7
Seventh Day of Unleavened Bread - Leviticus 23:8
Pentecost - Leviticus 23:15-21
Feast of Trumpets - Leviticus 23:23-25
Day of Atonement - Leviticus 23:27-32
Feast of Trumpets - Leviticus 23:33-36
Last Great Day (8th. Day of the Feast) - Leviticus 23:36
Note: God's seven annual Holy Days are called 'The feasts of the
LORD'.
Notice that God does not call them Jewish. God says that these are His
feasts: 'The feasts of the LORD'.
(Leviticus 23:1-2 NKJV) And the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, {2} "Speak to the children of Israel, and say to them:
'The feasts of the LORD, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations,
these are My feasts.
(Leviticus 23:37 NKJV) 'These are the feasts of the LORD which you shall proclaim to be holy
convocations.
Note: The ONLY sign that Jesus Christ gave that
He was the Messiah was that He would be
Three Days and Three Nights in the grave.
(Matthew 12:22-23 NKJV) Then one was brought to Him who was demon-possessed,
blind and mute; and He healed him, so that the blind and mute man both spoke and saw.
23} And all the multitudes were amazed and said, "Could this be the Son of David?"
Note: The phrase "Son of David" is a reference to Jesus being the
Messiah.
(Matthew 12:39-40 NKJV) "But He answered and said to them,
"An evil and adulterous generation seeks after a sign,
and no sign will be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.
{40} "For as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish,
so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth."

Passover &
Preparation Day for the High Day Sabbath
(the First Day of Unleavened Bread)
(Matthew 27:62 NKJV) "On the next day, which followed the Day of Preparation,
the chief priests and Pharisees gathered together to Pilate,"
(Mark 15:42 NKJV) "Now when evening had come,
because it was the Preparation Day,
that is, the day before the Sabbath,"
(Luke 23:54 NKJV) "That day was the Preparation, and the Sabbath drew near."
(John 19:14 NKJV) "Now it was the Preparation Day of the Passover,
and about the sixth hour. And he said to the Jews, "Behold your King!""
(John 19:31 NKJV) "Therefore, because it was the Preparation Day,
that the bodies should not remain on the cross on the
Sabbath (for that Sabbath was a high day),
the Jews asked Pilate that their legs might be broken, and that they might be taken away."
15th. of Abib - Thursday - High Day Sabbath
First Day of Unleavened Bread
16th. of Abib - Friday
Preparation Day for the Weekly Sabbath
(Mark 16:1 NKJV) "Now when the Sabbath was past,
Mary Magdalene, Mary the mother of James, and Salome bought spices, that they might come and anoint Him."
Note: When the High Day Sabbath was past, they bought spices.
They were not permitted to buy the spices on the High Day Sabbath.
(Luke 23:56 NKJV) "Then they returned and prepared spices and fragrant
oils.
And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment."
(Note: "according to the commandment" is referring to the Fourth
Commandment - the weekly Sabbath.)
17th. of Abib - Saturday
The Weekly Sabbath
(Luke 23:56 NKJV) "......
And they rested on the Sabbath according to the commandment."
(Note: "according to the commandment" is referring to the Fourth
Commandment - the weekly Sabbath.)
(Matthew 28:1 NKJV) "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb."
Note: The word "Sabbath" in this verse is plural.
Strongs Concordance #4521 and is the Greek word "sabbaton" [sab'-bat-on]
"the interval between two Sabbaths; likewise the plural in all the above
applications:--sabbath (day), week"
So this verse should read:
" Now after the Sabbaths, as the first day of the week began to dawn,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb."
There were two Sabbaths that week:
The first Sabbath was the annual High Day Sabbath of the First Day of Unleavened
Bread
and the second Sabbath was the weekly Seventh Day Sabbath.
18th. of Abib - Sunday
The First Day of the Week
(Mark 16:2 NKJV) "Very early in the morning, on the first day of the week,
they came to the tomb when the sun had risen."
(Mark 16:9 NKJV) "Now when He rose early on the first day of the week,
He appeared first to Mary Magdalene, out of whom He had cast seven demons."
(Luke 24:1 NKJV) "Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they,
and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared."
(Luke 24:6 NKJV) "He is not here, but is risen!
Remember how He spoke to you when He was still in Galilee,"
(Matthew 28:1 NKJV) "Now after the Sabbath, as the first day of the week began to dawn,
Mary Magdalene and the other Mary came to see the tomb."
(Matthew 28:7 NKJV) "And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead,
and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you."
Note: Nowhere in these Scriptures does it say that anyone saw Jesus
rising.
They said "He has risen." - This is a past participle. It is past
tense.
The reason they did not see Him rising was because He was resurrected the night
before around sunset
which was three days and three nights after He was crucified and buried right
before sunset at the end of Passover day on the 14th. of Abib.
