Lesson: Satan's Destiny

Email: info@icogsfg.org

SCRIPTURE READING: Ezekiel 28:1-19

GOLDEN TEXT:  Revelation 12:9

Is there a Devil? Many people talk about Satan the Devil and others scoff at the idea. The Bible has much to say about Satan the Devil.

1. When we think of Satan the Devil there is a key scripture that comes to mind. What does this key scripture say: Revelation 12:9? Satan called a dragon? Has he deceived the whole world? Was he cast to the earth? Were his angels, which are called demons, cast out with him?

2. Did Jesus warn His disciples about deception in His Mount Olivet prophecy? (Matthew 24:4-5). Did the apostle Paul warn that there was a "god of this age" who has blinded the minds of many people towards the gospel of Christ? (2 Corinthians 4:4). Did Satan even try to deceive Jesus Christ and over throw Him during his temptation of Jesus? (Luke 4:5-6).

Note: When Satan the Devil took Jesus up on a high mountain and offered Him "All the kingdoms of the world" and "All the authority ... and their glory," Jesus did not refute him, which means that Jesus recognized Satan as the god of this world.

3. Did Jesus warn His disciples that there are two ways of life, like two gates, a narrow gate and a wide gate that leads to destruction? (Matthew 7:13-14.)

Note: Many who are deceived will follow the broad way that leads to destruction. The narrow gate is more difficult but leads to life.

4. Did the apostle Paul say that Satan the Devil is also the prince of the power of the air and also the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience? (Ephesians 2:1-2).

5. Where did Satan come from? The Bible reveals Satan as a created being. In Ezekiel chapter 28, God uses the king of Tyre as a type of Satan. This type blends into the antitype, which is Satan, in the middle of verse 12. Does verse 12 say, "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty?"

Note: This could not be talking about any man.

6. Was Satan in the garden of Eden? (Genesis 3:1-7). In verse 13 of Ezekiel 28, does it also say that Satan was in Eden, the garden of God? Does it also say that many precious jewels was part of his covering? Does it mention the workmanship of his timbrels and pipes? Was Satan the Devil created? Was he one of the Cherubs that covered God’s throne? (Verse 14). Was he perfect in his ways from the day he was created, Till iniquity was found in him? (Verse 15).

Note: Please notice that Satan was created.

7. Another chief text about the origin and history of Satan is found in Isaiah 14. Here God uses the king of Babylon as a type of Satan. Does Isaiah indicate that Lucifer had fallen from heaven? (Isaiah 14:12). Had Lucifer weakened the nations? Did he say that he would ascend to heaven and exalt his throne above the stars of heaven? (Verse 13). Did he say that he would sit on the mount on the farthest sides o the north? Did he say that he would be like the Most High? (Verse 15).

Note: The Hebrew word translated as Lucifer is ‘Heylel’ and means ‘shining star of the dawn, or light bringer.’ God had assigned Lucifer to the earth (Ezekiel 28:13) While he was perfect in his ways from his creation, he became lustful for more power and more authority from the standpoint of vanity. By Lucifer being instantly created as being perfect, he had not developed any Character as we do in the flesh by having trials and tests and overcoming sin. So Lucifer rebelled against God wanting to take over God’s place as the Most High (Isaiah 14:12-14). Notice in verse 12 the phrase ‘stars of heaven’ is a reference to angels ( Revelation 1:20).

The word ‘Lucifer’ (Hebrew ‘Heylel’) is only used one time in the Bible. After his rebellion against God he is called Satan. The word ‘Satan’ means adversary and accuser . The word ‘Devil’ only occurs in the New Testament and means false accuser and slanderer.

8. Who created the heavens and the earth? (Genesis 1:1). Is God the author of confusion? (1 Corinthians 14:33). Did the angels of God shout for joy when God created the earth? (Job 38:4-9).

Note: When God created the earth it was a perfect creation.

9. Does Genesis 1:2 say: "The earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep?" Does it also say: "And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters?"

Note: Notice that something must have happened between verse 1 and 2 of Genesis chapter 1. It says that "the earth was without form and void." The Hebrew words for "without form and void is "tohu and bohu and translated into English they mean chaotic, in confusion, waste and empty.

The word "was" in Genesis 1:2 should rightly be translated as "became.

Notice "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. {2} The earth [became] without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep." (Genesis 1:1-2).

Lucifer’s attempted usurpation of God’s throne resulted in the ruin of the surface of this earth. When God created Adam on the earth, Satan was already here, pretending to be the ‘light bringer,’ but in reality he was an evil spirit, in rebellion against God.

10. Let’s return to our key scripture for this question. Has Satan deceived the whole world? (Revelation 12:9). What was his first deception on man? (Genesis 3:4). Did the serpent say to Eve, "You will not surely die?" Does Scripture say that "the soul that sins, it shall die?" (Ezekiel 18:4, 20). Romans 6:23 says: "The wages of sin is what?" What does John 3:16 say about ‘perish’?

Note: Satan’s first deception on man is the false doctrine of the "Immortality of the Soul." (Request our free article on this topic.)

Satan (Lucifer) wanted to go to heaven to take over God’s position as "Most High." The world’s churches today teach a doctrine that when a person dies they are going to go to heaven. Can you find a scripture in the Bible that supports this false doctrine? (Request our free article:’ Are You Going To Heaven?’ for more information on this topic.)

These are only a couple of the doctrines that Satan has palmed off as truth on this gullible world.

11. Who was the great dragon that was cast out of heaven? (Revelation 12:9). Was he the serpent of old? Does he deceive the whole world? Was he cast to the earth? Were his angels (demons) cast out with him?

12. Is Satan also identified as a fiery red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads? (Revelation 12:3). Did his tail draw a third of the stars of heaven? (Verse 4). Who were these stars of heaven? Were they angels? (Revelation 1:20).

Note: God shows that fully one third of all the millions of the angels followed Lucifer in his rebellion and were cast down to the earth with him.

13. Is Satan the Devil also called the prince of demons? (Matthew 12:24).

Note: To accomplish Satan’s work of deception, with the ultimate goal of destroying human beings, Satan utilizes these millions of disobedient spirit demons. Satan uses his sway of human nature and demons to influence human beings. Satan is always concerned with the top level jobs in his attempt to destroy God’s plan.

14. Is Satan, the serpent of old (Revelation 12:9), very cunning? (Genesis 3:1). What did he say to Eve? What did Eve say to Satan? (Verse 2-3). What did Satan say in verse 4 and 5? When Eve saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, what did she do? (Verse 6). Did Adam also eat of the fruit? Then the eyes of both of them were what? (Verse 7).

15. What was Satan’s first deception on man? (Genesis 3:4). Did the serpent say to Eve, "You will not surely die?" Does Scripture say that "the soul that sins, it shall die?" (Ezekiel 18:4, 20). Romans 6:23 says: "The wages of sin is what?" What does John 3:16 say about ‘perish’?

Note: Satan’s first deception on man is the false doctrine of the "Immortality of the Soul." (Request our free article on the "Immortality of the Soul").

16. Was Jesus tempted in the wilderness 3 times by Satan? (Matthew 4:1-11). Satan tried many times to kill Jesus. What was Satan’s last major attempt to kill Jesus? Did Satan enter into Judas Iscariot after taking the bread at Jesus’ last Passover? (John 13:27). Did Jesus say to Judas, "What you do, do quickly?"

Note: All through Christ’s ministry, Satan tried to have Jesus killed, to thwart His every purpose. Finally, when it was time according to God’s purpose to allow Christ to die, Satan the Devil was a direct instrument in executing Christ. Satan entered personally into Judas Iscariot.

17. What does the apostle Peter tell us that the Devil does? (1 Peter 5:8).

Note: Perhaps more often than any of us realize, a demon could be attempting to influence us, either directly, or through another person.

18. Is there a time coming when Satan the Devil is going to come down to the earth with great wrath? (Revelation 12:13-17). Will he make war with those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ?

19. Did the apostle John, in his vision, see an angel come down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand? (Revelation 20:1). Did the angel laid hold on the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years? (Verse 2). Did the angel cast Satan into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished? (Verse 3).

Note: The time is drawing nearer when Satan the Devil will no longer be permitted to deceive the nations. At this present time, God is allowing Satan to be used as His instrument in blinding the world, so the lesson of mankind will be so firmly and completely etched in its own blood that there will never again be a society existing in total rebellion against God’s government. God is the One who has "concluded them all in unbelief, that He might have mercy upon all" (Romans11:32). He says He is not willing that any should perish, but hat all should finally come to repentance. (1 Peter 3:9).

At the beginning of Christ’s millennial rule over the nations, Satan is to be bound, and cast into an abyss. This condition of restraint will last during the thousand years, and then the Devil will be momentarily allowed freedom to deceive the nations again.

20. Did Jesus say He is going to cast unrepentant, carnal minded humans into "everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angles?" (Matthew 25:32-41).

Note: This parable of the sheep and the goats is another example of a parable of Christ that makes no special reference to the time element, but is showing a spiritual lesson and principle to be learned! The separation described in verse 32 takes place over a period of 1,100 years, to the end of the 100 year period after the millennium. Notice that these wicked people are cast into an age lasting fire prepared for the Devil and his demons.

Fire is a physical, chemical thing. Notice that the wicked are to be ashes under the feet of the righteous (Malachi 4:3). Therefore, this fire Christ spoke of in Matthew 25 is a fire that consumes humans. But Satan is a spirit being and spirit beings are not affected by fire.

The word "everlasting" in Matthew 25:41 is "aonian" in the Greek language."Aonian" comes from the root "aion" which means age! The correct translation into the English language should be "age-lasting fire."

21. When Jesus returns will He destroy the Wicked One who is going to be working miracles and deceiving the world? (2 Thessalonians 2:1-8). Together with this great false prophet, will Christ lay hold on the Beast and throw them both into the lake of Fire, burning with brimstone? (Revelation 19:20).

Note: The Beast and the False Prophet are human beings and will be consumed in this age-lasting fire that will be burning all through the millennium (Isaiah 66:23-24).

22. At the end of the millennium will the Devil and his demons be cast in the age-lasting lake of fire where the Beast and False Prophet were cast at the beginning of the millennium? (Revelation 20:10). Will they be tormented day and night for ever and ever?

23. Did Jesus Christ say that there was an everlasting fire prepared for the Devil and his angels? (Matthew 25:41).

Note: Christ said the fire was being prepared for the Devil and his angels. Satan’s angels are demons.

24. Did Peter mention a time in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up? (2 Peter 3:10-11).

Note: This lake of fire will be so intense, so white hot, that the surface of the whole earth will literally melt with the fervor of the flames! Christ shows this time occurs after the final Great White Throne Judgment when God’s plan is complete - and all who have been added to His family are already born of Him. After this final judgment, even death and the grave are destroyed (Revelation 20:13-15). The surface of the earth will become for a time just as if it were a blazing surface of the sun.. This is the great Gehenna Fire that Christ talked of, that will destroy the wicked. It is this vast, lake of fire that Satan and his demons will have been cast. Remember, this fire is physical. It consumes the bodies of the wicked, and is so intense it even melts the rocks and elements of the earth until they are liquefied. But Satan and his demons are spirit beings. Fire is physical and cannot burn spiritual beings. Spirit is not combustible.

25. Did the apostle John write of the new heaven and a new earth? (Revelation 21:1-2). Will there be anything there that will defile or cause an abomination? (Verse 27). Who will be there? (Same verse). Will only righteousness dwell there? (2 Peter 3:13).

Note: It is evident that from God’s Word that Satan and his demons will not be anywhere in the new heaven and new earth! Then where are they going to be?

26. Did Philip go to the city of Samaria and preach Christ to them? (Acts 8:5-7). Did he do miracles and cast out demons? (Verses 6-7). Did the unclean spirits cry with loud voices as they came out of many who were possessed?

Note: This crying of unclean spirits showed their frustration and anger at being deprived of their dwelling place.

27. Do demons believe there is one God? (James 2:19). What do the demons do?

Note: This verse says that the demons believe and tremble! They fear the awesome judgment awaiting them and are in torment (1 John 4:18).

28. Let’s notice again, will the Devil be cast into the lake of fire and will he be tormented day and night forever? (Revelation 20:10).

Note: As a reminder, Satan and his demons are spirit beings. Fire is physical and cannot burn and consume spirit beings. Their punishment will plainly be mental and spiritual, not physical. Notice that their torment will be forever and ever. But let’s notice carefully the verse states Satan will be thrown into the lake of fire and tormented forever! It does not say that he will remain in the fire forever! The fire is on this earth. The fire is an age-lasting fire, which will not be burning after God’s new heaven and new earth are established. Since Satan is to be tormented forever, and the fire is to finally consume the physical objects it is burning until it burns out, Satan does not remain in this lake of fire forever!

Satan is a spirit! Fire cannot consume spirit and a spirit CANNOT DIE!

29. Some of the Sadducees, who did not believe in the resurrection, came to Jesus with a story and a question about the resurrection and marriage. (Luke 20:27-36). What was Jesus’ answer in verse 34-36.

Note: Notice Jesus’ answer, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. {35} "But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; {36} "nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection."

Jesus is telling us that angels cannot die! Satan is a fallen angel and therefore Satan cannot die!

30. Did Satan’s angels sin? (2 Peter 2:4, 3:19-20). Is there a judgment reserved for them?

31. Does Jesus Christ return at the sounding of the Seventh Trumpet? (Revelation 11:15). Do the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ? Will He reign forever and ever? Are the Saints resurrected at the sounding of this seventh and last trumpet? (1 Corinthians 15:52). Is there a marriage supper where the Saints, the Church, is married to Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God? (Revelation 19:7-9? Are the Saints made kings and priests? (Revelation 5:10). Will the Saints rule and reign with Jesus on the earth?

32. Will the Saints judge the world? (1 Corinthians 6:2). Will the saints judge the world? Will the Saints judge angels? (Verse 3).

Note: Peter and Jude attested to the fact that the sinning demons are reserved unto a time of judgment! A judge must investigate the merits of each case and arrive at a decision based on the facts. God is calling people (John 6:44) to become Kings and Priests with Christ and to rule this earth. A vital part of the job of each Saint will be judgment! Paul tells us that we will judge angels. The wicked spirits, including Satan, are presently being reserved, being kept in restraint, unto judgment!

Jude gave a slight indication of the possibility of the nature of that punishment when he used the demons as a type in warning Christians about false teachers who had crept in unawares (Jude 6-13). Notice verse 13, Jude says, "wandering stars for whom is reserved the blackness of darkness forever." Could this statement by Jude give us a picture of Satan and the demons punishment?

Satan’s destiny is to be cast into the lake of fire, but the lake of fire will end when the new heavens and new earth are established, and Satan is to be tormented forever. His torment while in that fire is going to be mental, at seeing all he has strived toward, worked for, plotted, burned up when the new heavens and new earth is established. The exact nature of Satan and the demons punishment is yet to be decided by the Saints who will be their judges!

Scripture Reading:

Prophecy Against the King of Tyre

(Ezekiel 28:1-19 NKJV) The word of the LORD came to me again, saying, {2} "Son of man, say to the prince of Tyre, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "Because your heart is lifted up, And you say, 'I am a god, I sit in the seat of gods, In the midst of the seas,' Yet you are a man, and not a god, Though you set your heart as the heart of a god {3} (Behold, you are wiser than Daniel! There is no secret that can be hidden from you! {4} With your wisdom and your understanding You have gained riches for yourself, And gathered gold and silver into your treasuries; {5} By your great wisdom in trade you have increased your riches, And your heart is lifted up because of your riches)," {6} 'Therefore thus says the Lord GOD: "Because you have set your heart as the heart of a god, {7} Behold, therefore, I will bring strangers against you, The most terrible of the nations; And they shall draw their swords against the beauty of your wisdom, And defile your splendor. {8} They shall throw you down into the Pit, And you shall die the death of the slain In the midst of the seas. {9} "Will you still say before him who slays you, 'I am a god'? But you shall be a man, and not a god, In the hand of him who slays you. {10} You shall die the death of the uncircumcised By the hand of aliens; For I have spoken," says the Lord GOD.'" {11} Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying, {12} "Son of man, take up a lamentation for the king of Tyre, and say to him, 'Thus says the Lord GOD: "You were the seal of perfection, Full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. {13} You were in Eden, the garden of God; Every precious stone was your covering: The sardius, topaz, and diamond, Beryl, onyx, and jasper, Sapphire, turquoise, and emerald with gold. The workmanship of your timbrels and pipes Was prepared for you on the day you were created. {14} "You were the anointed cherub who covers; I established you; You were on the holy mountain of God; You walked back and forth in the midst of fiery stones. {15} You were perfect in your ways from the day you were created, Till iniquity was found in you. {16} "By the abundance of your trading You became filled with violence within, And you sinned; Therefore I cast you as a profane thing Out of the mountain of God; And I destroyed you, O covering cherub, From the midst of the fiery stones. {17} "Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; You corrupted your wisdom for the sake of your splendor; I cast you to the ground, I laid you before kings, That they might gaze at you. {18} "You defiled your sanctuaries By the multitude of your iniquities, By the iniquity of your trading; Therefore I brought fire from your midst; It devoured you, And I turned you to ashes upon the earth In the sight of all who saw you. {19} All who knew you among the peoples are astonished at you; You have become a horror, And shall be no more forever."' "

14. (Genesis 3:1-8 NKJV) Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said to the woman, "Has God indeed said, 'You shall not eat of every tree of the garden'?" {2} And the woman said to the serpent, "We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; {3} "but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, 'You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.'" {4} Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. {5} "For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil." {6} So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. {7} Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves coverings. {8} And they heard the sound of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God among the trees of the garden.

15. (Genesis 3:4 NKJV) Then the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die.

(Ezekiel 18:4 KJV) Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die.

(Ezekiel 18:20 KJV) The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him.

(Matthew 25:41 KJV) Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:

(John 3:16 NKJV) "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

(Romans 6:23 NKJV) For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.

16. The Temptation of Jesus

(Matthew 4:1-11 NKJV) Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. {2} And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. {3} Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, "If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread." {4} But He answered and said, "It is written, 'Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.'" {5} Then the devil took Him up into the holy city, set Him on the pinnacle of the temple, {6} and said to Him, "If You are the Son of God, throw Yourself down. For it is written: 'He shall give His angels charge over you,' and, 'In their hands they shall bear you up, Lest you dash your foot against a stone.'" {7} Jesus said to him, "It is written again, 'You shall not tempt the LORD your God.'" {8} Again, the devil took Him up on an exceedingly high mountain, and showed Him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory. {9} And he said to Him, "All these things I will give You if You will fall down and worship me." {10} Then Jesus said to him, "Away with you, Satan! For it is written, 'You shall worship the LORD your God, and Him only you shall serve.'" {11} Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.

(John 13:27 NKJV) Now after the piece of bread, Satan entered him. Then Jesus said to him, "What you do, do quickly."

17. (1 Peter 5:8 NKJV) Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.

18. (Revelation 12:13-17 NKJV) Now when the dragon saw that he had been cast to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male Child. {14} But the woman was given two wings of a great eagle, that she might fly into the wilderness to her place, where she is nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. {15} So the serpent spewed water out of his mouth like a flood after the woman, that he might cause her to be carried away by the flood. {16} But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and swallowed up the flood which the dragon had spewed out of his mouth. {17} And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to make war with the rest of her offspring, who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ.

19. (Revelation 20:1-3 NKJV) Then I saw an angel coming down from heaven, having the key to the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand. {2} He laid hold of the dragon, that serpent of old, who is the Devil and Satan, and bound him for a thousand years; {3} and he cast him into the bottomless pit, and shut him up, and set a seal on him, so that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years were finished. But after these things he must be released for a little while.

20. (Matthew 25:32-41 NKJV) "All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats. {33} "And He will set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. {34} "Then the King will say to those on His right hand, 'Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: {35} 'for I was hungry and you gave Me food; I was thirsty and you gave Me drink; I was a stranger and you took Me in; {36} 'I was naked and you clothed Me; I was sick and you visited Me; I was in prison and you came to Me.' {37} "Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, 'Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? {38} 'When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? {39} 'Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?' {40} "And the King will answer and say to them, 'Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.' {41} "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

21. (2 Thessalonians 2:1-8 NKJV) Now, brethren, concerning the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and our gathering together to Him, we ask you, {2} not to be soon shaken in mind or troubled, either by spirit or by word or by letter, as if from us, as though the day of Christ had come. {3} Let no one deceive you by any means; for that Day will not come unless the falling away comes first, and the man of sin is revealed, the son of perdition, {4} who opposes and exalts himself above all that is called God or that is worshiped, so that he sits as God in the temple of God, showing himself that he is God. {5} Do you not remember that when I was still with you I told you these things? {6} And now you know what is restraining, that he may be revealed in his own time. {7} For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work; only He who now restrains will do so until He is taken out of the way. {8} And then the lawless one will be revealed, whom the Lord will consume with the breath of His mouth and destroy with the brightness of His coming.

(Revelation 19:20 KJV) And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone.

22. (Revelation 20:10 KJV) And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

23. (Matthew 25:41 NKJV) "Then He will also say to those on the left hand, 'Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil and his angels:

24. (2 Peter 3:10-11 NKJV) But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night, in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will melt with fervent heat; both the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up. {11} Therefore, since all these things will be dissolved, what manner of persons ought you to be in holy conduct and godliness,

(Revelation 20:13-15 NKJV) The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. {14} Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. {15} And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

25. The New Jerusalem

(Revelation 21:1-2 NKJV) Now I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away. Also there was no more sea. {2} Then I, John, saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.

(Revelation 21:8 NKJV) "But the cowardly, unbelieving, abominable, murderers, sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death."

(Revelation 21:27 NKJV) But there shall by no means enter it anything that defiles, or causes an abomination or a lie, but only those who are written in the Lamb's Book of Life.

(2 Peter 3:13 NKJV) Nevertheless we, according to His promise, look for new heavens and a new earth in which righteousness dwells.

26. (Acts 8:5-7 NKJV) Then Philip went down to the city of Samaria and preached Christ to them. {6} And the multitudes with one accord heeded the things spoken by Philip, hearing and seeing the miracles which he did. {7} For unclean spirits, crying with a loud voice, came out of many who were possessed; and many who were paralyzed and lame were healed.

27. (James 2:19 NKJV) You believe that there is one God. You do well. Even the demons believe; and tremble!

(1 John 4:18 NKJV) There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.

28. (Revelation 20:10 NKJV) The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.

29. The Resurrection and Marriage

(Luke 20:27-36 NKJV) Then some of the Sadducees, who deny that there is a resurrection, came to Him and asked Him, {28} saying: "Teacher, Moses wrote to us that if a man's brother dies, having a wife, and he dies without children, his brother should take his wife and raise up offspring for his brother. {29} "Now there were seven brothers. And the first took a wife, and died without children. {30} "And the second took her as wife, and he died childless. {31} "Then the third took her, and in like manner the seven also; and they left no children, and died. {32} "Last of all the woman died also. {33} "Therefore, in the resurrection, whose wife does she become? For all seven had her as wife." {34} And Jesus answered and said to them, "The sons of this age marry and are given in marriage. {35} "But those who are counted worthy to attain that age, and the resurrection from the dead, neither marry nor are given in marriage; {36} "nor can they die anymore, for they are equal to the angels and are sons of God, being sons of the resurrection.

30.(1 Peter 3:19-20 NKJV) by whom also He went and preached to the spirits in prison, {20} who formerly were disobedient, when once the Divine longsuffering waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was being prepared, in which a few, that is, eight souls, were saved through water.

(2 Peter 2:4 NKJV) For if God did not spare the angels who sinned, but cast them down to hell and delivered them into chains of darkness, to be reserved for judgment;

31. The Seventh Trumpet

(Revelation 11:15 NKJV) Then the seventh angel sounded: And there were loud voices in heaven, saying, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our Lord and of His Christ, and He shall reign forever and ever!"

(1 Corinthians 15:52 NKJV) in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

(Revelation 19:7-9 NKJV) "Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready." {8} And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the saints. {9} Then he said to me, "Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!' " And he said to me, "These are the true sayings of God."

(Revelation 5:10 NKJV) And have made us kings and priests to our God; And we shall reign on the earth."

32. (1 Corinthians 6:2-3 NKJV) Do you not know that the saints will judge the world? And if the world will be judged by you, are you unworthy to judge the smallest matters? {3} Do you not know that we shall judge angels? How much more, things that pertain to this life?

(Jude 1:6-8 NKJV) And the angels who did not keep their proper domain, but left their own abode, He has reserved in everlasting chains under darkness for the judgment of the great day; {7} as Sodom and Gomorrah, and the cities around them in a similar manner to these, having given themselves over to sexual immorality and gone after strange flesh, are set forth as an example, suffering the vengeance of eternal fire. {8} Likewise also these dreamers defile the flesh, reject authority, and speak evil of dignitaries.
